We started our Pioneer Day celebrations with a good old fashined small town parade. We had the cutest little parade goers there. It was CRAZY hot and we had no shade, but we got lots of candy and had a really good time. I do love a good small town holiday.
They have matching shirts that say, "When God created me he was just showing off"
Going after candy.
Yay for people that throw popsicles!
Our group. We sure enjoy the Long and Redd families.
Look Mom!
H was super excited about each piece of candy. He almost wouldn't go after any more if he had something in his hand.
Mara getting candy.
Getting sprayed with water.
While taking advantage of shade, why not climb the tree that provides it?
You can tell how red in the face G was. He was still super happy and having tons of fun.
Hanging out at the park. Getting kind of tired, but still so much to see and do.
H still eating candy.
Not quite so engergetic G.
We found some bounce houses!
Kyle was off with G doing the more daring ones, but H and I liked hanging out at this 'safer' one.
Roxy had to work that night, but we stopped by to say hi on our way to see the fireworks.
It wasn't really cold, but it's fun to snuggle while you watch fireworks
Getting all set up to watch fireworks at the baseball fields.
Dad and the boys
and one with Mom.
K spent the whole time holding H's head up to see. The fireworks were RIGHT above us.
This was the first time we had let the boys stay up to watch them. I wasn't sure how they'd do but H LOVED it.
G laid next to me and had a running commentary the whole time. They made it so fun, and worth staying up late.
