Money well spent

G got some money from his Grandma and Grandpa for Valentines Day and he finally found what he wanted to spend it on. We found an individual "Boost" car (which I have been looking for FOREVER!) and he picked out a fun easter treat. He carried his choices up to the checkout and handed the lady his money. He was excited to get his change and receipt and wouldn't let me help carry his bag. He must do it himself. Boost is now his 'favorite' but honestly, just about everything is his 'favorite'.Thanks for the fun treats Grandma and Grandpa!

If you're not ready

...i'll do it myself.

At 11 o'clock today G came up at told me he was hungry. I was blow drying my hair at the time so I told him it would just be a minute and i'd get him some lunch. When I went into the kitchen I found that he had done it himself. He had gotten into the fridge pulled out a container of mac and cheese, grabbed a fork and was up at the table, eating it cold. I guess he doesn't need me anymore.

Preschool Fieldtrip

The last couple weeks of preschool have been kind of rough behavior-wise so we decided to take a break and take a field trip. Plus, it was free day at the zoo. I am a sucker for free.
Here are our three cute preschoolers excited and ready to explore the zoo.

My turn mom! Am I so big?!
Checking out the Giraffes. We spent quite a bit of time here.
H and the other babies there all did pretty good all things considered. It was a little chilly, but not as bad as I was expecting.

The train ride was the hightlight of the trip for G. We had to wait quite a while in line but he grinned from ear to ear the entire ride.
With three 3 yr olds and three littles it was an adventure to say the least. There was a lot of whining and not much animal viewing. But the few animals we looked at were thouroughly enjoyed and the company was great. Not too shabby of a day.

8 Months Old

H is 8 months old. He is 17.7 lbs and 27 in. H has started scooting himself around on his belly pushing with his toes. And he scoots on his bum by lunging foward and pulling with his arms or sort of bouncing. As previously mentioned he his pulling himself up on things now.

H LOVES food, if its not baby food. His favorites right now are avacado, cottage cheese, kiwi, spaghetti, beans oatmeal and graham crackers. He is more than willing to try whatever is on my plate. He is still a mommy's boys but has been more willing to be babysat and has a bunch of the pre-teen girls in our ward wrapped around his finger. They are often asking me if I need to go somewhere so they can come babysit him.

G's Current Favorite Song

A video of G sort of singing his current favorite song.

Scooter

H has started scooting around...sort of. I set him down and the next time I look he is in a different place. You can't really tell he's moving he just does a lot of bouncing, reaching, stretching and rolling and then he's somewhere else! This photo is where he ended up after I set him on the floor next to me so I could check my email.

Eatin' in a Wagon

The other day, G wanted to play on the 'beach'. So we laid down a brown blanket and had a pretend beach party. When it came time for dinner he was not about to sit at the table. Who can blame him when you've got a perfectly good wagon sitting on the 'beach'.

Funny G

This picture was taken by G's friend Shaden. Pretty good, I think.

G has been doing some very silly things lately and I thought i'd better do some documenting.

His affirmative answer used to always be ,"Sure Sure!" Now it's "Of Course"

Tonight at dinner I was trying to feed H and he wouldn't open his mouth for the spoon. G says, "Come on H. Eat some more food so we can go play!" (This was very funny coming out of the mouth of the boy who eats NOTHING).

My sister babysat the boys overnight so Kyle and I could celebrate our Anniversary. She told me that G was being very sad while they were reading stories. She asked him what was wrong and he said, "I miss my best friends Kyle and Sarah. They better buy me something!" After that he brightened up and listened to the stories.

His new favorite song is the theme song from 'The Duck Tales' cartoon. He's got the whole thing memorized and will randomly sing it around the house. I also have it memorized because he wants me to sing it with him. He will not sing it on video, however. I am going to keep trying though, because it is THAT cute.

I can't think of the rest right now, so there may be a post similar to this in the near future :).

***

I thought of a few more: His way to ask me, or any one else for that matter, to come is to say, "Come follow me".

He likes to say: meanwhile, luckily and these dayse. He is always telling me things like: 'I want apples these days' or 'We need to go home these days' 'Meanwhile, i'm hungry' or 'Luckily I didn't fall.'

Happy Anniversary

Today was our Seven Year Anniversary! We kept it pretty low key, it's hard to go out and spend money when you don't have a permanent job :). We really enjoyed ourselves though. I had a movie gift card that has been in my wallet for months (possibly a year...I do tend to save things) so we went and saw 'He's just not that into you' and even both enjoyed it. It made us grateful for the relationship we have.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to my sister Lisa for giving up her nights sleep so that I could have some quality time with my husband and the best nights sleep i've had since H was born!

Happy Anniversary Honey! You know I love you:).

Pajama Boys

I hosted my bunko group this month and invited some of my neighborhood friends to come. Jaime needed to bring her boys so we had a couple of girls babysit them in the basement while we played. Afterward we found out that we have the same pjs! We played around for awhile and got some cute pictures and a cute video of the babies playing.

This is just a cute picture of Shaden posing that G took.

Tatoo

Look here.
You know you love it...
This is my new favorite friend Tinkerbell.
I got some temporary tatoo's in the mail and was showing G how they work a little different than stickers. I think he likes it. He loved showing it off to whoever wanted to see, and maybe some who didn't. He thinks all fairies are Tinkerbell. And he will not let me wash her...ever.

Letter R

Letter R did not go as I'd hoped. Don't get me wrong, we had a good time with raindrops, stories, ring around the rosies, and ribbon dancing. I put effort into some cute crafts like a pet rock and rabbit coloring picture but the hands down favorite activity was just running around and around and around. At least running starts with R.
