We were very blessed to have lots of family come to our house on the fourth of July to help us do some major yard work.
The boys and I did make a quick appearance at the ward breakfast first. H enjoyed the ducks and the pond...
And G enjoyed playing with his friends.
We ate a little bit of breakfast and then it was back to the house to work, work, work.
I sort of thought I'd beat my family to my house, but they were very prompt and were already working by the time I got back. Most of us dug the grass out of the parking strip in the front. I hate that grass. It is so pointless and full of weeds.
This small section I had dug out by myself and we had just enough cement left over from the patio to fill it in.
Meanwhile...Terral, Bryce, My dad and Kyle (and the boys) worked on the patio.
Kyle did all the prep work beforehand and we had an early cement truck scheduled. We paid a little extra for it to come on a Saturday, but It was worth it to have the extra help available.
Isn't it pretty?!
We also poured a little slab in front of the shed to cut down on mud be tracked all over.
The nieces and nephews got to do hand prints and names in this one.
Then we had a nice big lunch in the pavilion at the park across the street. I've been very grateful to have that park there on numerous occasions.
We are so thankful for how supportive and helpful everyone has been to help us get this big project done. We are working hard to make our home a more beautiful place and we appreciate all the help we can get!
