broken

Tonight while getting ready for bath G was running and jumping around while I was trying to help take his clothes off. I reached to grab his arm to hold him still right when he tried to jump to the bathroom rug. Consequently his arms and head stayed where they were and his feet kept moving until his knees hit the floor. After we calmed him down and kissed both knee caps we finished getting him ready for the bath. He took off his socks and threw them out into the hall. "Mom, will you please take care of my socks." he called to me. I had gone to the kitchen to get H down from the table.

We've had some issues lately where G says he CAN'T do anything, like put his shoes in the box instead of just on the floor in front of the box, so I hollard back to him, "You can do it. You are a big boy and you have two legs that work."

"No Mom! I don't. My legs are broken and I need an x-ray to fix them." Then he walked out of the bathroom pointing at his knees to 'show me' that his legs were broken so he couldn't take care of his socks.

I think he gets that from his dad. We had issues with shoe also. It became a real hot button in our house.
