Halloween

Oh Halloween!  How we love thee!  The costumes, the decorations, the scary stories, the trick-or-treating, and of course the candy!

G was positively spastic waiting for Halloween to get here.  We had to make a countdown chain where he got to take one link off every day until it got here.

The day before Halloween some city offices were having trick-or-treating so we met up with our good friends to get some early treats.  We knew what they were dressing up as and we happened to have the same costumes already so we went matching!

Double Trouble!

On Halloween day G was invited to a birthday party in the morning, then we had a ward activity in the afternoon and trick-or-treating after that. G has been talking about being a spider for a literal year and we were lucky enough to have some friends that had a costume from the year before that they let us borrow.
My little bugs.

This is G using ALL his legs.

We also borrowed this cute bumblebee costume for H. He didn't like the hood up very much.

Our whole bug family. I was a butterfly and K was an entomologist.

Suckers were voted the favorite candy of the night!

And here is G with all his loot.
H was already asleep by this point. We had driven over to some friends houses across the valley and let the boys do their trick-or-treating there. We sure had fun watching how much fun they were having, but it wore H plum out.

G would have loved to stay up forever, but after letting him answer the door for the few trick-or treaters we got, we sent to bed to dream of candy and ghosts and candy and spiders and candy and pumpkins....

I am way late commenting on this post, but Lincoln got that same spider costume when he was three years old and I LOVE LOVE it! He wore it four three years in a row and Kai will start wearing it next year. G looks darling in it.
