We just did our first official chores at our house. The boys were in charge of gathering up all the garbage from the garbage cans and replacing the plastic bags. It was so cute to listen to them work it out together. "I'll get the bathroom and you get the laundry room! Then we'll do some more!" They helped each other when it was hard and were so proud of themselves when they were done. They stood next to the kitchen garbage can where we gathered everything gave each other high fives and thumbs up and knuckles, almost like it was a secret handshake. It was really cute to see.
Now it's up to K and I to set up a regular chore chart and capitalize on this enthusiasm!
