One of the things that I love most about being a stay-at-home parent, is that right now, I am the coolest person my kids know.
I am the person they try to copy, I am the person they are watching ALL THE TIME to figure out how things are supposed to go in the world. I am the one giving them their routines and the phrases that they say. I am the one they want to be near. A lot.
As scary as that thought can be, sometimes it's kind of cool. If mom wakes up one morning and doesn't have the energy to shower and do her hair, it's not laziness that makes her put on a bandanna...it's fashion sense. And if mom is doing it, all the cool boys will be doing it too! :)
